On creativity, scholarship and making a Hollywood film

Kip Jones with cast and crew on the set of RUFUS STONE

Two offerings from the pen of Kip Jones join the blogosphere:

Breaking Boundaries: An Arabesque on Art, Creativity and Scholarship” brings Jones and author, Patricia Leavy, together again for a follow-up discusssion based on their earlier ‘Twenty Questions” –both published by The Creativity Post.
The second piece in Creativity Bites, “Once Upon a Time on the Set with John Huston”, recalls Jones’ own experience as a student working with a Hollywood director, crew and cast on the shoot for a film for Philadelphia’s Independence National Park in the 1970s (which is still screened for visitors to the Park). Jones relates this earlier experience with the more recent one of making the research-based biopic, RUFUS STONE at Bournemouth.

The element of Bournemouth student participation/co-production in making this film was highlighted in the BU 2013 Annual Report as ‘Inspirational’ by the University's Vice Chancellor.
